FOSTER PARENT

Become a Foster Parent

At Avanda Cares, becoming a foster parent means becoming part of a movement to transform care for Ontario’s most vulnerable children and youth. We are building a foster care program that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and committed to excellence in caregiving.

While we are currently in the process of securing our foster care agency license, our systems, standards, and training protocols have been designed to meet and exceed ministry requirements under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA) and Ontario Regulation 156/18.

We’re looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals and families who are ready to open their hearts and homes to youth with complex needs—and who want to be part of a team that’s reshaping what quality foster care looks like.
