who we are
About Us
Avanda Cares is a forward-thinking foster care agency serving youth aged 12 to 21 who face complex behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges. Founded by a former full-time foster parent, our agency was built on firsthand experience and a deep commitment to transforming care for vulnerable youth. At Avanda Cares, we don’t just provide placements — we build pathways to independence.
Currently in the process of licensing under the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (SOR-RL), Avanda Cares is designed to meet — and exceed — provincial standards for safety, mental wellness, and youth development. Every program we offer reflects evidence-based practices and a fierce commitment to equity and inclusion.
